Who I Am

Too often, our adult lives are overladen with so many responsibilities that we forget to be curious about the world around us.

And with the “school model” of education ingrained in our brains, we view learning as happening only in the classroom with an instructor on stage. My goal is to create learning experiences that eschew the traditional model of education and instead focus on the importance of behavior change, placing learners in authentic and engaging scenarios that allow them to practice making decisions in a safe environment.

I started working in Learning & Development in 2013 and quickly fell in love with the use of technology to create adult education. After completing my MSEd in Learning Design & Technology in 2015, that love had deepened with a greater understanding of how we learn and how to use that knowledge to create experiences that lead to behavior change. Even though I completed my degree in 2015, I am not done learning. Today, I continue my education with everything from webinars to books to networking groups, podcasts, and YouTube videos.
